Farming Without The Bank is a fast-growing company set apart from other insurance agencies. We are determined to redefine the way people perceive and understand insurance. We teach the power of insurance for cash growth, becoming your own banker, and leaving a true legacy. This is shared through two books the owner, Mary Jo, has authored, Farming Without The Bank and Wealth Without The Bank Or Wall Street. We strive to turn the traditional thought process around money on its head and unleash the true financial potential of our clients.


We are looking for someone who is dedicated to helping our clients and working hard to be a supportive part of our team. Someone who is not afraid of going against the grain and is empowered by making a difference. Our office team is the face and voice of Farming Without The Bank. They are the most important people here, so patience, a smile, and desire to help are required.

What it will take to succeed in this role

While there is no specific experience needed, it would be awesome to have knowledge of life insurance.  If you don’t know insurance or it’s okay – we will train you.  However, if you don’t care to learn, then it may be a fit like pantyhose on a pig!

Travel and weekends may be required for conferences we sponsor. (Maybe once a year or every other year.)

No micromanaging here which is awesome if you are a get it done kind of person.  Mary Jo does not have time for that, but like Santa, she’s always watching.


  • Answering Phones and Providing Top Notch Customer Service
  • Setting Appointments and Calling with Reminders
  • Processing of Life Insurance Underwriting Questions, Policy Changes, Transactions and Maintenance
  • Task Management for Yourself and Agents We Work With
  • Processing Mail and Mailing Out Book Orders
  • Maintenance of Client Lists
  • Supporting the Office Manager with Various Other Tasks



  • Word / Excel / Outlook
  • CRM System: Infusionsoft (we will train you)
  • Insurance Company Websites

Pay is paid on an hourly rate and based on experience. $15.00 to $16.50
Bonuses are possible.


Position: Part-time
(We have enough work for full time so this position could work itself into full time.)

Work ours need to be:  Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am – 4:30 pm CST. We will work with you on these hours to coordinate with us.


Work Location

This is a work from home opportunity. You however will not be alone! There will be plenty of conversations with the other staff throughout the day. You will need a desk and quiet place to work without interruptions as you will be on the phone all day with clients.
